I've been toying with the idea of a chainmaille bolo for a long time! Obviously it's a given with my style. My first ever attempt was while working at Blue Buddha. It had me weaving around a slide attempting to create a maille centerpiece and using leather bolo cord as usual. There are definitely other chainmaille bolos out there, but I wanted mine to be a little different. This chain uses smaller jump rings than I've seen out there. It also uses my go to up-cycled vintage concho pieces & actual bolo tips. Since the rings are smaller this piece takes A MINUTE to weave. Pricing this was hard but think of it as basically 2 necklaces in one...

I have another version of a bolo I'm thinking about listing but honestly the rings are so tiny and the weave time was probably ~5 hours. I might list it and if whoever thinks it's worth my artistic design/time they can certainly have at it. Here's this style for now!

Concho pendant is repurposed from a vintage concho belt.

This chainmaille bolo is made from stainless steel jump rings. Each ring was hand woven and placed by me.

Bolo tips are actual vintage bolo tips. Base metal - probably white brass?

This piece combines my unique 10+ years of experience with chainmaille jewelry and my western/ punk style.

Main concho piece is silver color.

The top part of the bolo is about 10 inches and the total length is about ~20 including the bolo tips.

All jump rings are made in the USA and/or Canada.

The main chain is stainless steel, connector rings and clasp are stainless steel.

Choose your concho from the dropdown. See photo with YELLOW number bubbles for options.

Some people may not understand the time involved in making chainmaille jewelry. Every ring is opened by hand individually then woven in a special way to create the pattern shown, then the ring has to be closed. Chainmaille takes time and talent to create - appreciate!
